An all new Hyundai KONA has arrived. Kona is a smaller urban based SUV that has proved popular since its first introduction a few years ago.
The new model comes in a simple yet highly equipped two model line-up, consisting of KONA and KONA Premium variants. Both have the N-Line option pack available.
Eventually there will be four powertrains to choose from
- A front wheel drive 2.0L petrol with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT),
- a G1.6 T-GDi AWD turbo petrol AWD with a new eight-speed automatic transmission,
- and G1.6 GDi petrol/electric Hybrid driving the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.
- A pure electric version.
These have staggered availability over the rest of 2023, with the all electric version coming in the last qtr.
Pricing is from $32,000 through to $46,500, plus the usual costs with the EV version pricing to be confirmed later.
Hyundai usually pack their cars with lots of standard features for comfort and safety, and the Kona is no exception.
These are small, well equipped, comfortable urban SUVs.
