Lexus LBX Morizo RR – Lexus recently introduced a sports version of their compact SUV, the LBX. Called the LBX Morizo RR.
Performance comes from a 1.6-litre turbocharged inline three-cylinder petrol engine producing 206kW of power and 390Nm of torque. This is enough for a zero to 100km/h time of 5.2 seconds.
This exclusively teams with a Direct Shift eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Featuring close gear ratios to maximise the performance of the engine as well as special cooling features.
A sophisticated AWD system automatically distributes the front-rear torque according to road conditions and grip, with the standard Torsen®1 limited-slip differential on the rear axle adding to the dynamics.
An AWD Mode switch allows drivers to fix front-rear torque distribution 50:50 at the touch of a button, providing more predictable handling performance through different conditions and surfaces.
Of course it comes with all the luxuries you expect from Lexus inside.
I am a fan of these smaller sports SUVs, even though they are rare in the market.
Now with five variants, the Lexus LBX range starts at $47,550 and goes up to $78,240 plus the usual costs.
