RX 450h+ PHEV Lexus has expanded its RX SUV model range with the arrival of the RX 450h+ PHEV.
Priced from $123,500 plus the usual costs the RX 450h+ comes with:
- Series parallel plug-in hybrid 2.5-litre aspirated petrol engine / 2x permanent magnet synchronous motors
- Peak combined output of 227kW
- 18.1kWh lithium-ion battery
- PHEV front transaxle
- 7kW AC Type 2 charging system
- Auto EV/HV mode switch
- 55-litre fuel tank
For a large SUV its also reasonably sporty with a claimed 0-100km/h time of 6.5 seconds.
The RX 450h+ comes exclusively in Sports Luxury grade. Features include:
- semi-aniline leather-accented seat trim,
- 10-way power-adjustable front seats with memory,
- heated and ventilated front and outboard rear seats,
- a woodgrain-look instrument panel and steering wheel ornamentation,
- as well as power reclining and folding rear seats.
The Lexus RX range now offers buyers a choice of petrol, petrol hybrid and now PHEV engines. That’s what buyers want – choice to buy what suite their circumstances.
