Audi Q6 e-tron is an all-new, mid-sized, electric SUV built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which underpins a number of vehicles in the VW group.
The Q6 brings a stylish but conservative design externally and everything you would expect from Audi inside. One noticeable difference is twin screen on the horizontal plane rather than vertical in the central console as current design shows.
The Q6 e-tron comes with a 100kWh battery that has a claimed range of up to 625km and an efficiency rate of 19.4kWh/100km.
The Q6 e-tron has 285kw of power and the SQ6 has up to 380kW. Initially they will come with quattro drive but later may come with rear wheel drive as well.
Both have respectable performance with the Q6 time of 5.9 seconds from 0-100kmh and the SQ6 taking only 4.3 seconds.
The Q6 also brings a newly developed lithium-ion battery consisting of twelve modules and 180 prismatic cells. This allows for rapid charging of up to 250km in 10 minutes at the right outlet.
Audi is also moving more towards greater sustainability in its production, from materials to the facility where the vehicles are assembled.
More details and pricing will be available closer to the release in Australia.
