RAV 4 Cruiser – One of the smaller hybrid SUVs I have driven in the last few weeks is the Toyota RAV 4 Cruiser efour. This is the hybrid version of the popular SUV. In fact this vehicle has been so popular that Toyota had to pout a halt on orders for a while until global supply issues sorted themselves out. That’s over now.
Toyota hybrids are good. They have been doing them for a while now and vehicles like the RAV4 Hybrid are excellent.
The Cruiser comes with a number of comfort and safety features like heated and ventilated front leather seats, Smart phone mirror connectivity, powered tailgate and a 12 inch central touch screen.
At its heart is a 2.5L Hybrid petrol engine that is the same as in the Hybrid Camry. It has enough performance to feel spritely around town combined with excellent economy. We averaged around 6.0L/100K on test and that’s good.
The Hybrid Cruiser comes in either FWD or AWD. Take the AWD every time.
The Toyota RAV4 Cruiser Hybrid has everything. Its an ideal size for urban runaround as well as big enough for holiday trips and weekends away. Also, the hybrid technology combines better economy along with the convenience of no range anxiety.
Priced from around $54,400 plus the usual costs its also great value.
