C-HR Hybrid – Toyota has announced that the new generation of its popular CH-R urban SUV will be all Hybrid power.  2024 Toyota C-HR Hybrid concept

Toyota was amongst the pioneers of hybrid technology along with Honda and a few others. They sell more hybrids than anyone else over the last 20 plus years. In 2022 hybrids accounted for nearly 73,000 Toyota sales some 31.5% of their total sales.

Toyota Australia has said it expects electrified vehicles to account for more than 50 per cent of its sales by 2025, reflecting the brand’s commitment to lowering the carbon footprint of its vehicles.

Globally, the new-generation C-HR will only be available with Toyota’s popular self-charging hybrid technology as well as a new plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant. Toyota Australia currently has no plans to introduce the PHEV variant to the Australian market.

In addition to reducing the CO2 emissions of its vehicles, Toyota Motor Corporation is also targeting carbon neutrality in all its facilities by 2030.
Toyota has also run a tree planting program for many years, something that does more for managing the CO2 footprint than anything else.

The all new CH-R is due here mid 2024
