Better is all aspects the new Triton is sure to shake up the buyer opinions.

With a big and bold frontal grill and bonnet the Triton makes a statement opposite to the model it replaces.

Sitting on a longer and wider chassis with revised suspension, the new Triton is

• Bigger inside
• More compliant as well as
• Quieter and smoother

With more power and torque the Triton now has a bigger payload and will tow 3500kg,

Off road the Triton gets the clever and reliable Super Select 11 4WD system, seven drive modes and a rear diff lock.

One key improvement is the electronic power steering. It transforms the responses to steering inputs.  This is probably the greatest area of improvement.

I spent two days driving the Triton over a wide range of surfaces from motorway driving to some interesting 4WD tracks and came away impressed.

Triton is priced from $43,690 through to $63,840 plus the usual costs
