Peugeot Expert – Mid-size work vans don’t come any better than the Peugeot Expert.
There is a choice of either a short or long wheelbase and for the long wheelbase there is a premium version available as well.
All vans come with a 2.0L 4 Cyl turbo diesel engine with 110kW and 370Nm driving the front wheels through either a 6 Sp MT or a smooth 8 Sp AT.
We have been using the LWB Premium for a couple of weeks to move a heap of stuff and its immensely practical.
With a cavernous cargo area, it has a payload of some 1300kg with a 2100kg towing capacity.
We loaded everything from furniture when a friend was moving, to large boxes and a couple of loads of pavers for a DIY project around home.
The Peugeot Expert never missed a beat.
It rides more like a SUV than a delivery van and has plenty of room inside even for someone my size, although I could do with a little more room to stretch my legs. Around town its zippy and scoots along. On the freeway it cruises easily.
The 7 inch central screen is a little small and could do with wireless smart phone connectivity. However the Peugeot I Cockpit proved to be functional for everyday driving.
Peugeot Expert Premium LWB is priced from around $54,000 plus the usual costs.
