Nissan X-Trail ST-L e-power – I have driven a few Nissan X-Trail SUVs lately, but I recently had the ST-L e-power model. This is a mid-spec hybrid AWD version with five seats.
You could almost say it’s right in the middle of the range and there are a lot of different versions you can choose from.
The e-power model comes with a 3 cylinder 1.5L hybrid motor that acts a little different to other hybrids. The engine mainly charges the electric motor and kicks in when needed.
Its smooth, mostly quiet, and easy to drive. Having electronic AWD is a bonus. e-4ORCE electronic 4×4 system comes with a drive & terrain mode selector with 5 different modes.
I like the ST-L model because it is a five-seat version. Having seven seats in a SUV this size doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense. With five seats there is a large boot space and rear seat passengers have reasonable room.
The ST-L also comes with enough comfort features to make it worth it without the extra bling of the Ti-L It still comes with synthetic heated leather seats with electric adjustment for the driver.
However, it misses out on wireless connectivity and charging for your smartphone unfortunately.
As I mentioned before the X-Trail comes with a lot of choice of models, engines, or drive trains.
The X-Trail ST-L e-power with e-4orce is priced from around $50,000 plus the usual costs.
