Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV GSR driven for 2025

Outlander PHEV GSR – Last week I drove the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug In Hybrid Electric vehicle in the GSR model. That’s a mouthful.

Mitsubishi_Outlander_Plug-in_Hybrid_EV_GSR (2) The Outlander is a mid-sized seven seat SUV that is always great value for money. The Outlander PHEV GSR model is priced from a bit under $74,000 dollars plus the usual costs.

This is the top model in the range and comes equipped with a host of luxury, comfort and safety features.

Its style is somewhat sleek yet boxy but appealing.

Inside its spacious especially for the front two rows of seats.

The diamond stitched seats are comfortable and ventilated. I did like the layout, its simple yet effective and the infotainment system is intuitive to use.

The PHEV comes with a 2.5 litre natural petrol engine and an electric battery that provided about 70-75 real world kilometres on EV only.

Having said that a lot of owners will have a daily drive of less than that and if they can plug in over night, they can drive all week for zero fuel use.

The benefit is that there is no range anxiety as there is a 56 litre fuel tank as well.

The Mitsubishi Outlander faces stiff competition in the segment, but holds its own. It does feel a little dated in some areas but is a great choice for a family.
