Mitsubishi has updated their Eclipse Cross PHEV for 2023 and added a 1500W vehicle to load capability for their Aspire and Exceed models.
Owners access this via a three-pin 240-volt power outlet and can power a range of domestic, office, industrial, and leisure appliances via the Eclipse Cross PHEV’s drive battery.
The manufacturer places the outlet in the rear luggage compartment. Engineers are making the ability to utilise battery power in electric cars a more important feature, which designers now include in a few electric cars.
PHEVs offer the ability to do most if not all localised daily driving on the battery, with zero local driving emissions, while allowing drivers to take longer trips with zero range anxiety.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse PHEV has an estimated electric only range of 55km as well as reasonable economy when not in fully electric mode.
Pricing for the 2023 models is from $47,290 through to $55,990 plus the usual costs and they are arriving in March this year.
