Kia EV3 – The electric car surge continues with Kia releasing pricing details of the all new EV3. Available later in March the pricing for the EV3 rage starts from $47,600 through to $63,950 for the GT Line model. These prices are plus the usual costs.
There is a choice of four variants all with 2WD. These are the Air standard range with a 58.3kWh Lithium-Ion battery.
The Air long range, Earth Long Range and GT Line Long Range are all fitted with an 81.4kWh Lithium-Ion battery.
Range anxiety is always a question with EVs. The EV3 has a WLTP range from 436km for the standard range EV3 Air, through to 604km on the Long Range EV3 Air.
All models come with the new iPedal 3.0 adjustable regenerative braking system.
iPedal 3.0 enables one-pedal driving that adjusts the level of regenerative braking according to your preference to maximize efficiency.
The EV3 comes standard with Vehicle to Load (V2L) charging. This allows owners to use the EV3 to charge and power appliances such as a laptop, a coffee machine, a small fridge or even a movie projector.
One thing I do like is that Kia is keeping the familial design through the EV range. The EV9, EV5 and EV3 all look similar.
