Hyundai IONIQ 5 EPIQ – Ioniq 5 is the mainstream electric model for Hyundai. It’s a medium size SUV that was designed purely as an electric car.
The design is a little boxy yet edgy. Its not as beautiful as the IONIQ 6 but many people commented on its angular styling.
The EPIQ is currently the top spec model and comes with a few additional features like the digital side mirrors, a high-efficiency heat pump system and battery conditioning.
All models come with the 77.4 kilowatt hour lithium ion battery. The EPIQ also has All Wheel Drive, so that means additional motors at the rear.
Power is rated at 239 kilowatts and torque at 605 Newton Metres. Its reasonably quick with a 0-100 kilometre per hour tine of 5.1 seconds.
The EPIQ has a realistic range of between 500 and 450 kilometres. This obviously depends on how enthusiastic you are with exploring the performance.
Inside its spacious, well planned and has an abundance of little storage areas.
I like the fact that I can easily adjust the regen braking with paddles on the steering wheel , to suit my driving style.
Overall the IONIQ 5 is amongst the better electric SUVs.
