Subaru Forester – search for best new mom car. Last week in my search for the best new mum cars we chatted about the Subaru Forester and the models available. This week lets chat about safety. Something all new mums look closely at.

The Subaru Forester comes with an ANCAP 5 Star safety rating.
But it has so much more. Like its bigger sibling, the Outback which we spoke about a few weeks ago. The Forester comes with a number of impressive safety features; some you just don’t find on other SUVs.
Lets start with Airbags everywhere. Add to this an impressive list of active features like:
- Subaru “eyesight” system
- emergency braking both front and rear,
- Lane keep assist functions,
- Driver monitoring to alert if you are getting drowsy.
- Reverse camera and
- Pedestrian alert system.

These are just a few of the many features available.
Add to these, the ever present All Wheel drive system. Where all four wheels are driving at all times. This provides such comfort in wet, icy, or slippery conditions.
One major feature is that the engine is designed to slide down under the passenger protection cell in the event of a frontal collision.
It seems that in a Subaru Forester, everywhere you turn there is some system or feature that is designed to protect you.
As a new mum I like the comfort and security that provides for my family.
