Updates include exterior improvements, sharper driving dynamics and refined interior.

The appeal of the RS3 is its Jekyll and Hyde personality. It will happily potter around town without fuss. But when asked, it will explode into supercar like performance.

This performance comes from a 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder petrol engine with direct fuel injection, producing an impressive 294 kW between 5,600 and 7,000 rpm, and delivering a handy 500 Nm of torque from 2,250 to 5,600 rpm.

Audi pairs this with quattro all-wheel-drive and a responsive 7-speed S tronic transmission. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h is just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.

Central to the RS 3’s handling prowess is the advanced RS torque splitter, an electronically controlled multi-disc clutch system positioned at the rear axle. Variably distributing torque between the rear wheels, significantly reducing understeer, and enhancing agility when cornering.

Inside the RS3 has also had an upgrade with refine ambience and a new flat-top and bottom RS Sport leather multifunction steering wheel

Pricing for the Audi RS3 starts at around $104,800 plus the usual costs and that’s a performance bargain.
