Ford F-150 joins the ranks of the large pick up style trucks in Australia along with the RAM 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.

The F150 is available on two models the XLT and Lariat. Both will come in a short wheel base and long wheel base versions. Pricing for the XLT is around $107,000 plus the usual costs and the Lariat is around $140,000 plus the usual costs.
One advantage the F-150 has is that it is backed by an existing nationwide dealer network and a factory-backed five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
Both models F-150 will feature a 3.5L EcoBoost Twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine, coupled with 10-speed automatic transmission in 4×4 Crew Cab configuration. With 298kW and 678Nm across the range
Towing is rated at 4500kg like the RAM 1500 and Chev Silverado.

The F-150s are built in the USA and shipped here and undergo a remanufacture process for local compliance.
2023 will be a booming year for lovers of large pick-up trucks, not only is the F-150 coming, but the Toyota Tundra is coming as well as a new Silverado and perhaps even the Nissan Titan
I’m a huge fan of the mod size pick up Trucks and am really looking forward to this year

Ford F-150 Engine
Both the XLT and LARIAT F-150 will feature the top-selling 3.5L EcoBoost Twin-Turbo V6 petrol engine. Coupled with 10-speed automatic transmission in 4×4 Crew Cab configuration. With 298kW and 678Nm across the range. The F-150 blends effortless torque across its rev range by using clever technology. This includes Ford’s port-fuel and direct-injection (PFDI) system. Which uses a pair of injectors per cylinder along with twin-intercooled turbochargers that offer on-demand power while minimizing lag.
Each F-150 variant can be purchased either as
- a short wheelbase (SWB) with a 3683mm (145-inch) wheelbase and 1676mm (5.5-foot) styleside box,
- or long wheelbase (LWB) that extends the wheelbase to 3987mm (157-inch) and styleside box to 1981mm (6.5-foot).
- All F-150 models in Australia are capable of towing 4.5 tonne, providing customers a new level of hauling ability.
