They unveiled the Ferrari F80 in an event with Lewis Hamilton and Charle Leclerc presenting.

400 valued clients and guests were present for the reveal of the new model at the exclusive Casa Ferrari trackside venue.

This is the most powerful road car yet. It delivers a staggering 1,200 hp from a V6-hybrid powertrain that now soars to new heights when paired with our groundbreaking e-turbo technology.

The F80 sets a new performance standard for a Ferrari and for a real road car:

0-100 km/h in 2.15 s, 0-200 km/h in 5.75 s, and a new record lap time at Fiorano. You can enjoy an extreme machine on normal roads.

Representing the pinnacle of Ferrari technology, the F80 is a vision of future performance and style. A true testament to Ferrari’s relentless pursuit of performance and innovation, the new supercar pushes the limits of available technology in all facets.

However, I won’t put my order in just yet, because at 190 cm tall and larger than the average bear, I simply won’t fit unfortunately.

Note to self, don’t buy this car unless you want to be the centre of attention.

We drove it around for the long weekend and people stared everywhere we went.

Others came up and just wanted to chat about it.

If the stunning design doesn’t engage you, the sound of the Chevrolet 6.2 litre V8 definitely will.  Its exhaust burble is music to the ears

Its also exceptionally fast. Much faster than we wanted to explore on a double demerit weekend. However for all its performance it will happily potter around town without fuss.

For a two-door sports car it is relatively spacious and has a few practical features. Like a removeable roof and a place to store it in the rear boot. There is a slot for the phone between the seats out of the way.

And the most practical feature is the ability to raise the suspension 30mm to negotiate speed bumps and gutters etc.

I have to say I had a huge smile on my face every time I drove the Corvette. Its full of personality and its great knowing that sports cars like the Corvette Stingray are still available Cheers,
