Built on a new EV specific architecture that is shared with Porsche the Q6 heralds a step forward for the brand.

Q6 e-tron offers a choice of drive configurations: from a single motor rear-wheel-drive variant to dual-motor all-wheel drive, with performance-oriented models like the SQ6 e-tron at the top of the range.

All versions use a 94.9 kWh useable battery pack capable of fast DC charging, meaning you can recharge a large percentage of the battery in around 20 – 25 minutes at high-power charging stations.

Range is strong too, with many versions rated over 600 km on the WLTP cycle, helping ease range anxiety. However, like fuel consumption figures real world range often differs. And low 500km is more realistic.

As you would expect the premium interior is driver focused. There is reasonable space thanks to the new platform.

Technology is a focus as well with a departure from the central stacked screens to a large horizontal design. It is practical and well laid out.

Audi are drivers’ cars and the Q6 e-tron displays a combination of quiet, refined electric driving with responsive performance. They will happily potter along but scoot along when asked, especially the SQ6 versions.

At its heart, the RS3 is a performance car. It will go from 0-100kmh in 3.8 seconds. That’s quick. However, the quattro system ensures that the driver is in control at all times.

Performance comes from a 294kW 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that also produces  500Nm of torque from. This drives through a seven speed S Tronic transmission.

Top speed is limited to 250 km/h which is mostly irrelevant in Australia.

Additional performance features include.

• Audi drive select.
• a torque splitter rear differential,
• special adaptive-damping suspension,
• semi-slick Pirelli P Zero tyres and
• huge red brake calipers.

Along with its stunning performance, comfort hasn’t been ignored.

Inside the front sports seats are heated and ventilated. They have multiple electronic adjustments as well as a handy massage function. The 12.3 inch virtual Audi cockpit allows recording of lap times, sprints, and ‘g’ forces.

If the delicious engine sounds isn’t enough there is also a SONOS 3D premium sound system with 15 high-performance loudspeakers

The real appeal of the Audi RS3 Sportback is in how easy it is to live with every day. Priced from around $109,000 plus the usual costs it’s also a performance bargain.

My first impressions are that its impressive

I do like the sleek and modern Q8 styling. Especially the way the headlights integrate into the grill.

Inside. the seats are exceptionally comfortable. And the cabin is packed with all the modern features you’d want in a premium SUV.

It’s spacious, with ample room not just for the driver but also for passengers, including those in the middle seat.

With a powerful electric motor and QUATTRO drive, the Q8 is incredibly smooth.

There’s a calm, refined feel to the way it handles the road, yet it also has plenty of pace when you put your foot down.

One of the standout features for me has been the range. After some driving, it still displayed 610 km remaining with about 80–85% battery left. That’s seriously impressive and removes a lot of the typical range anxiety associated with EVs.

There is something distinct about the way an Audi drives. The Q8 e-tron has a solid, confident feel to it that’s hard to replicate.

Overall, it’s a fantastic vehicle—luxurious, refined, and exactly what you’d expect from a premium electric SUV.

Pricing for the Audi Q8 60 TFSI e-tron is from around $154,000 dollars plus the usual costs.

This large seven seat Audi is the pinnacle of a family luxury SUV.

The model I drove came with a few option packages as well. These added features like sports seats with integrated headrests, ventilated front seats and heated outer back seats and more.

What I really love about the Q7 is the space and practicality.

The front seats are particularly comfortable. In front of the driver its typically Audi. Well laid out and functional.

The middle seats are great for two people. There are two isofix and top tether points for a baby seat. There is also enough room for the baby seat to fit behind the front seats. That’s often a limiting factor.

The boot has the extra two seats when needed. It also has plenty of room for baby pram, and all the gear new mums seem to need to take with them. Both back rows of seats can fold flat if needed.

So, there is room for all the family along with baby.

The three litre turbo V6 petrol engine is so smooth and quiet to drive. Its also amazingly economical as well.

Audi Q7 55 TFSI is priced from $136, 815 dollars. But the options on the car I drove took that up to $148,915 dollars plus the usual costs.

Regular listeners will know I like large SUVs. The Audi is spacious, comfortable, and engaging.

It’s powered by a 3 litre, six-cylinder, 48-volt, mild hybrid turbo diesel engine. This provides 210 kilowatts of power and 600 newton metres of torque. This drives all four wheels through the brilliant Audi quattro system and an eight speed tiptronic transmission.

What all that means is that the Q8 has a combination of enough performance to keep drivers happy while having excellent economy. Its smooth and fun to drive.

The S-Line comes with

• panoramic glass roof,
• Matrix LED headlights,
• Wireless smart phone connectivity and charging tray.
• Automatic tailgate with motion sensor, great for when you have your hands full, and
• Heated front seats – amongst a lengthy list of standard features.

The Q8 has two isofix and top tether points for baby seats and a large boot to accommodate all the necessary baby gear. It’s an ideal family SUV.

Around town it feels smaller than it actually is and it’s easy to navigate tight suburban car parks. On a trip you arrive feeling fresh and relaxed.

The Q8 I drove is normally priced at $143,415 dollars, but it also had a couple of option  packs that took the price to $157,915 dollars plus the usual costs. Considering the extensive list of features that’s excellent value.

A beautifully designed sports quattro wagon. What more could you want.

Yes, the RS 4 Avant has exquisite design. It looks impressive. Especially in the metallic progressive red I had. The RS black highlights carry through for the exterior to the interior.

Inside is aimed at performance driving. The RS sports seat hug you tightly. The sport contour steering wheel sits firmly in the hands. Drivers’ instruments via the Audi virtual cockpit can be set for everyday driving or for spots driving.

With a 2.9L TFSI petrol engine that produces some 331 kW of power and a handy 600 Nm of torque, the RS 4 is set for supercar like performance. In fact, it will go from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and tops out at a governed 250 km/h. If you opt for the Competition package as the test car did, then top speed is 290 km/h. Not that we can see that anywhere other than a racetrack in Australia.

Unfortunately, the Competition pack option removes the electronic function for the front seats.

While its spacious and comfortable for the front occupants, the rear seats are comfortable but limited for knee room. Boot is a reasonable size.

The Audi RS 4 Avant with competition pack provides supercar performance with wagon practicality. The total package cost $191,405 plus the usual costs

The RS7 Sportback showcases just how beautiful a car can be. When it was parked in my yard out the front there were so many people walking past that stopped to admire it. When driving it people followed it as we drove past.

There are many words to describe it – stunning, stylish, beautiful, but my favourite is simply elegant.

Not only is it beautiful in design, but it is also a performance powerhouse.

With a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo TFSI engine under the bonnet it delivers some 463 kW of power and maximum torque of 850 Nm. This drives all four wheels through the brilliant quattro system and an eight speed tiptronic transmission.

Top speed is a claimed 280 km/h, and it will go from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. We didn’t try to replicate those as it was the long weekend and double demerits applied.

The true brilliance lies in the fact that performance lays hidden behind a car that is just as happy pottering around town at 60 km/h.

The Audi RS7 Sportback is a rare car indeed. There are few cars that you could compare it too. In a world that for some reason is forsaking the exhilaration of a V8 burble for EV silence, Ill take the RS7 every day of the week please.

I am a big fan of the Sportback SUV styling with their almost coupe like lines and the Q3 gets it just about right.

Powered by a 2.0L TFSI petrol engine that provides some 132kW of power and 320Nm of torque. This drives through the brilliant quattro drivetrain and a 7 Speed S Tronic transmission.

The interesting thing is that maximum torque comes in around 1400 rpm, so the TFSI engines bring the best of low torque and economy as well as enough acceleration to keep drivers happy.

The Audi Q3 is so smooth and easy to drive. Ride, handing and steering response are engaging. It’s fun to drive.

As you would expect the Q3 came with a heap of features such as:

• wireless apple CarPlay and charging tray,
• 3-inch Audi virtual cockpit,
• heated electric adjustable front seats with additional lumbar support and
• S line styling.
• It also came with the premium plus option pack that adds a very clever LED headlight system amongst other additions.

Overall, the Q3 Sportback 40 TFSI is absolutely worth the drive if you are after a premium small to mid-sized SUV with distinctive styling. It’s priced from a little under $76,000 plus the usual costs.
