This is simply a stunningly beautiful coupe. It attracted looks everywhere we went.

Inside its surprisingly spacious. I can fit comfortably once I manage to slide in. The interior layout has been around for a while now, but regular updates along the way have ,managed to keep it relevant.

Wireless smart phone connectivity along with a 12.3 inch central touch screen are appreciated.

The version I had included the full tan interior. Im not usually a fan but loved it in the LC Coupe.

Boot space was large enough for 5-6 soft bags, but the rear seats are useless.

I drove the 3.5L V6 Hybrid version. It doesn’t have quite the same deep V8 burble that I love, but the exhaust note was enough to be enjoyed.

Performance is spritely at around 5 seconds from 0-100km/h and the in gear acceleration was more engaging. Economy was outstanding.

But the essence of the LC 500h coupe isn’t outright performance. It’s more about premium luxurious boulevard cruising.

At this it excels like few others. Its just such a comfortable drive and so easy to live with. There are no annoying quirks that sometimes comes with such sports cars.

Its fair to say that I absolutely loved the time in the Lexus coupe.

The new Lexus RZ will come in two models the RZ 500e and the RZ 550 e F Sport.

With a number of key highlights including a fully redesigned BEV system that:

• Has increased motor output.
• Extended driving range and
• Reduced charging time

All crucial factors in the increasingly competitive EV world.

A newly developed lithium-ion battery now has battery capacity of 76.96kWh. The RZ now has a claimed range of  500km’s which is about 14% more than before.  And charging time reduced by up 30 minutes depending on circumstances. The latter also thanks to an optimised onboard charger.

One interesting addition is the Lexus Steer-by-Wire system. Lexus claims it will revolutionize the cockpit experience, creating a seamless connection between the driver and the vehicle.

The system allows for precise steering control through approximately 200 degrees of rotation, eliminating the need for large steering inputs, leading to smoother and more effortless driving.

The manufacturers claim that the RZ models have a 0-100 km/h time of under 5.0 seconds, so they firmly aim them at sporty driving. They will announce the pricing closer to the release date.

I just drove the off-road version the GX 550 Overtrail.

Powered by a  a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, The Lexus GX has available 260kW of power and 650Nm of torque. The GX550 also comes with full-time all-wheel drive system with a locking centre differential and low-range gearing. This car is equipped with a DirectShift 10-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.

The Overtrail has an integrated tow hitch and a 3500kg capacity.

On e thing I do like is the slightly unusual design. It’s a little different and bold which certainly held appeal from onlookers.

This urban sized EV comes in two variants with the sports luxury the top model.

As you would expect from Lexus its stylish and luxurious.

I had  a few people comment on how appealing it looked.

Inside it appears sleek and ergonomic. The front heated and ventilated leather seats are especially comfortable. The 12.3 inch central screen that houses the infotainment system is intuitive to use with an excellent audio system.

Rear seat room is tight though, but boot space is adequate for two people.

The Lexus now comes with a 72.8 kilowatt hour battery. This has an improved range of a claimed 450km on the WLTP combined test cycle. But realistically you should see 400km from a full charge. This is a huge improvement on previous models.

Around town it was quiet, smooth and nimble to drive. It was actually quite pleasurable and ideally suited to week long city driving.

The latest UX 300-e is a big improvement on previous models. It has that typical Lexus refined feel about it.

The issue for Lexus is that its priced from $88,190 dollars plus the usual costs. At that price and for less there are a lot of competitors now.

With Jaguar announcing they won’t build the F Type anymore; the LC 500 Coupe is one of the last luxury coupes available along with the Corvette Stingray.

This is a car that simply attracts attention everywhere. From its deep V8 burble to its beautiful design.

Its surprisingly comfortable inside with everything you would expect. The Lexus LC 500 Enhancement Pack is a $15,000 option that adds another layer of comfort.

Visibility is a little restricted and I still don’t know why they bother with two rear seats.

But the beauty is in the driving. Its bigger than you expect but so easy to drive. The five litre V8 engine has more than enough performance to keep all drivers engaged. It will do a 0-100 kilometre per hour time of less than five seconds and top out at 270kilometres an hour.

But this is a car for enjoying, not necessarily racing.

Every once in a while, I get spoiled doing these reviews and the Lexus LC 500 Coupe was definitely a pleasure to drive
