GWM Haval H7 The H7 is basically the H6 Hybrid that’s gone to the gym and built up some muscle.

Inside it’s amazing how much space Haval seems to find in their SUV’s. Frone seats are comfortable, and the interior has soft touch points everywhere. There is a large digital instrument screen, central screen and head up display for the driver.

Unfortunately, you still have to go in and turn off the intrusive safety features every time you start the car.

Installing the baby seat was easy with two isofix and top tether points. There is plenty of room in the rear seats and the doors open wide to allow easy access.

As always, we move the front seat back to gently push against the baby seat to give it that little bit of extra security. There were a couple of trips where bub was unsettled so I sat in the back with him. I was surprised at how comfortable I was.

The Haval H7 comes with a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol hybrid engine and a dedicated hybrid transmission. It’s definitely powerful enough as well as economical. I think we averaged around 6.0 litres per 100 kilometres for the week.

Priced from $46,990 dollars driveaway, it’s also outstanding value.
