It’s a more compact design than the Genesis GV70 we drove last week. Designed from the platform up as an EV.

It’s style is a blend of coupe and SUV and looks great in the flesh. Lots of people commented about its looks and most really liked it.

Inside the pure EV design shows in a  simple and spacious feel. There is an abundance of storage space, and the dash layout is driver focused.

The GV60 Performance Lux All Wheel Drive model comes with a the 77.4 kilowatt hour battery with some 360 kilowatts  of power and a healthy 700 newton metres of torque.

This is good for a 0-100kmh time of around 4 seconds. That’s quick for any car.

It also has a real life range of between 400 – 450 kilometres.

Coming from Genesis, you expect the GV60 to be full of luxury, comfort and safety features and it doesn’t disappoint.

There is a lot to like, but in honestly not a fan of the digital external rear view mirrors. It takes a long time to get used to them.

The GV60 is an all-new electric car only. It’s priced from a touch under $115,000 plus the usual costs so it’s a bit expensive, as most EVs are.

However, you get a lot for the money.

Its stylish, sleek and coupe like in exterior design. The interior is minimalist and functional. There are a bunch of clever and cool features like the digital cameras for rear view mirrors. They take a little getting used to but great once you do.

The fingerprint recognition seems technology for technology’s sake. Large, clear, and functional driver instrument cluster and central touch screen ensures you are well informed.

The GV60 is quiet, smooth, and responsive to drive. In performance mode it will do 4 second 0-100kmh times. This comes from the 77.4kwh battery with some 360kW of power and a healthy 700Nm of torque.

On a full charge its good for about 450km. Charging at fast chargers isn’t bad, but doing it at home on a normal 10AMP 240V plug tales forever.

Overall, like Brianna said a few months ago, I really liked the Genesis GV60.

The GV60 comes in two versions, the All Wheel Drive and the Performance All Wheel Drive which we drove.

First impressions is that the GV60 is particularly stylish from the outside with coupe like lines and even better inside.

Genesis is continually redefining affordable luxury boundaries for premium brands.

Inside are some really cool features such as digital mirrors, fingerprint recognition and 12.3 inch driver instruments and central touch screen.

The GV60 comes with a 77.4kWh battery and the performance pack some 360 kilowatts of power and 700 newton metres of torque. This will give sub 4.0 second 0-100kmh times.

Performance does come at the expense of range but still the GV60 is good for 450km plus on a full charge.

It will also recharge at an ultra rapid charging point in about 18 minutes from 10%-80% charge.

Genesis if offering a choice of either a 5-year Chargefox subscription or a home A/C charger and install, included in the GV60 purchase price from $103,700 plus the usual costs.

I have to say I really loved the Genesis GV60.
