But the latest RS e-tron GT is another. Its simply beautiful in design.

Its low, wide, and sleek. From every angle it is a modern classic.

It’s a four-door coupe style with a small boot opening.

Inside its typically Audi layout and the seats are both comfortable and supportive.

This is in some ways the pinnacle of the Audi EV sports range. The price of $251,000 plus the usual costs would suggest that.

The closest vehicle to it is the Porsche Taycan and that is almost another $100,000 more expensive.

The RS e-tron GT is powered by a 93kw/h battery that provides a theoretical range of between 450-500km. In real life the range is closer to 400km though.

It will go from 0-100kmh in 3.3 seconds and drives all four wheels through the brilliant Audi Quattro system. I drove one recently around Philip Island track recently and it was just awesome. Blistering fast it provided endless fun.

It will charge quickly at fast chargers, but if you do it at home it will take a fair while.

My issue is that I would love the body of the RS e-tron GT with the 4.4L V8 petrol engine from the RS6 Avant performance. But that’s just me
