I’ve been a fan of the Camry for a while now, Plenty of room, reasonable performance, and outstanding economy. I averaged around 5 litres per 100 kilometres for the week and that included a mix of driving.

The mid spec model misses little luxuries like heated leather seats but does come with driver lumbar support and electric seat. The fabric seats are not my first choice, but they are practical. There is loads of practical storage and you just feel comfortable sitting in there.

It also has wireless charging and smart phone connectivity, and the large central screen is excellent.

Boot space is good for a sedan, its deep and long and one rear seat folds down for longer items. However, it would be difficult to slide a large stroller in there.

The rear seats are comfortable for two people and come with two isofix and three top tether points.

Priced from $42,990 plus the usual costs the Toyota Camry Ascent Sport Hybrid is excellent value.
