There is a lot that appeals with the Jeep. It looks stylish. Extremely comfortable inside and plenty of room for four occupants with luggage.

Jeep haven’t skimped on any luxury with the PHEV version.

It comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine combined with two electric motors and a 17.3-kilowatt hour battery. This is enough for around 45 – 50km of electric only power.  If you are diligent about charging daily, then most urban people can get their daily kilometres on EV only

You can choose to drive as a hybrid, an EV only for the range or save the EV power for later. Clever.

Overall, the 4xe system delivers 280 kilowatts of combined power and 637Newton metres of combined torque. This drives through the famous Jeep 4WD system and an 8 speed automatic transmission.

Under acceleration, there is a bit of road noise and a crisp rasp from the exhaust when using petrol.

While its practical, its also expensive at almost $130,000 plus the usual costs.
