We are at week three with the Subaru Forester and lest see how it fits my new mum lifestyle. I’ve driven a few different models. The Hybrid touring as well as the normal petrol Sport. The are different engine and levels of specifications.
Lets look at some of the highlights
- The new Forester comes in a wide choice of models with both petrol and hybrid engines.
- All models come with permanent All Wheel Drive which brings peace of mind for new mums in wet or icy conditions
- In fact, the Forester is one of the safest vehicles in its class
- There is reasonable room in the back seat if I need to sit with bub,
- Boot space is good for all my gear but is filled with it.
- The petrol engines are punchy, but the hybrid is my preferred choice especially around town. Its smooth and responsive
- The economy of around 6.0 litres per 100 km is excellent and really helps the budget.

With a busy lifestyle as a new mum, I need a vehicle that has comfort and is easy to live with. The Forester provides both. It definitely fits the new mum lifestyle. I am also a fan of the new design.
Pricing is from $43,490 through to $55,990 plus the usual added costs. These prices are excellent value.
Overall, the Subaru Forester gets the Mum and Bub approval.
