Nissan Patrol TI-L 4WD Driven for 2025

Is the new Patrol TI-L any good

Patrol TI-L – Last week I had the Nissan Patrol in the top specification TI-L. Large 4WDs, once were very popular, but not quite as much these days.

MY24 Nissan Patrol Ti-L 1The Nissan Patrol has always been a capable 4WD but has been aimed more at luxury cruiser of late.

It looks big and bulky, and it is.

Inside there is plenty of space. The front seat slide could be a little tight for very tall drivers, but the middle row seats have plenty or room.

Third row seats are also reasonably roomy.

The Patrol is also exceptionally comfortable. You feel cocooned inside, its quiet and smooth, and you feel like you’re sitting in a lounge chair.

The Patrol is now an old design, but with the locally upgraded infotainment system and redesigned central stack, it is more functional and looks better.

The 5.8 litre V8 Sounds awesome and provides plenty or performance. But this comes at the expense of fuel economy. Around town I was getting a little under 20 litres per 100 kilometres.

The steering is especially light, which is great for tight suburban carparks, but not so much on the open road.

One good thing about the Patrol TI=L is the price. It costs a little over $100,000 plus the usual costs and against the competition that’s sensational value.
