Mercedes Benz releases a PHEV sedan

C 350 e  – Mercedes Benz has introduced a plug-in hybrid version of its popular C Class sedan. The new C 350 e is powered by an advanced hybrid system.

This combines a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor. This combination provides a total maximum system output of 230 kW and 550 Nm. Along with a smooth nine-speed automatic transmission delivering power to the rear wheels.

The 25.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack offers an all-electric NEDC-tested range of 104 km. This allows commuters to complete most city commutes on electric-only power. Its reasonably responsive with a 0 – 100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds,

Two cables are included as standard. A charging cable for wallbox and public charging stations. And a cable for home charging from a domestic socket.

The standard vehicle offers AC charging up to 11 kW for a 0-100 per cent charge in approximately two hours. Buyers can opt for DC charging as well. You can charge the vehicle up to 55 kW in addition to AC charging. With a 0-80 per cent charge achieved in approximately 20 minutes.

In addition to the high level of standard equipment offered in the C 300, features on the C 350 e include DIGITAL LIGHT, Burmester® 3D Sound System and Driving Assistance Package Plus.

Pricing for the Mercedes-Benz C 350 e starts at $98,200 pus the usual costs.
