Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 4WD Ute driven for 2025.

Is the Jeep Gl;adiator Rubicon the best 4WD Ute

Gladiator Rubicon  – Last week I drove one of my favourite Utes. The Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. It looks different, drives differently and is in a completely different class in 4WD capability.

While there are a number of bright colours available, the ‘Sarge Green’ model I had attracted a lot of attention.

Inside its comfortable and well equipped, with genuine room for five people.

It comes with leather seats, heated in the front, a large central touch screen with smart phone wireless connectivity and a configurable driver instrument binnacle. One omission is not wireless charging tray though.

The Gladiator Rubicon is powered by the familiar 3.6 L V6 Petrol engine. This provides 209kW of power and maximum torque of 347Nm. This drives all wheels through a selectable 4X4 system and an eight speed automatic transmission. In addition, there are front and rear diff locks for when the terrain becomes more difficult.

However, this week the Gladiator had domestic duties. I took a load of green waste to the tip. The tub is large, but shallow. This can be advantageous. There are tie down points, but I used the handy top rail system points for securing my load.

Im a big fan of the Jeep Gladiator. Especially when you consider the price of $82,990 plus the usual costs. This compares quite well to other top line 4WD Utes.
