Baby friendly – Regular listeners may know that I’m about to have my first child. We spoke a few weeks ago about a few things new mum’s need to look out for when buying their first family car.
As a Motoring Mum, I would like to add a few more things to the list.
First is a safety net. Some cars have the ability to have a net style safety barrier between the boot area and the back seats.
These nets are handy to keep all the gear separated. Often the amount of gear in the boot area stacks higher than the top of the back seats. If not, then all SUV style vehicles have a cargo blind that should be closed at all times.
Zoned style air conditioning with rear vents. Often, it’s beneficial to have air directed to the rear for efficiency. Especially on those hot days. Bub will appreciate it.
I mentioned last time plenty of space for the rear seats. Don’t discount how many times you may end up sitting there yourself next to bub to settle them. You want to be comfortable.
Something you may think about is a good audio system with rear speakers. You will be listening to nursery rhymes a lot and the ability to have the rear speakers playing and front speakers muted will be appreciated.
That’s it for today, but there are more tips top come.
