Alfa Romeo Junior – For true car enthusiasts the brand name Alfa Romeo evokes mixed feelings. Its spirit is definitely a driver’s car, However over the years they have had their fair share of build issues. However, the passion never wavered.
The all new Alfa Romeo Junior is about to be released. It’s a compact sized crossover style SUV and hatch. It will be offered in two powertrains, a hybrid and an all-electric version.
The design is trying to blend the future with the rich history. It has a somewhat chunky appearance , with the familiar front grill and bonnet.
Key highlights of the Junior include:
- Iconic Italian Design:
- Driver-Centric Interior: including front massage seats.
- Hybrid (Ibrida) Option: with a 1.2L turbocharged engine + 48V mild hybrid system.
- Fully Electric (Elettrica) Option: with a 115kW motor and a WLTP range of 407km.
- Dynamic Handling: We would expect nothing less
- Advanced Safety Tech:
- Compact Dimensions.
- Upgraded infotainment connectivity and technology.
I have to admit that of late Alfa Romeo has been a bit hit and miss with their cars. The Stelvio, and the Guilia are classically stylish drivers’ cars. Especially in Quadrifoglio versions. The Tonale, however failed to evoke the passion, even though it is a good car.
Pricing for the Junior starts at $45,900 for the hybrid version and $57,900 for the EV version. All plus the usual costs.
The Alfa Romeo Junior has the potential to be the flavour of the month for inner city dwellers and younger couples that favour style and flair.
